The Board of Education would like to have a Superintendent who: has strong communication skills, is approachable, and is excited to be a visible member of a thriving small-town community and district; has experience working with diverse populations, representing students of different racial, ethnic, religious, political and socio-economic backgrounds; an educational progressive who is knowledgeable of current research related to educational curriculum and instruction and is motivated to work with teachers, support staff, and the community to continue the growth seen within the district; a systems thinker who can see the big picture and can both work toward the longer-term objectives while dealing with the day-to-day challenges; a leader with demonstrated experience working closely with bargaining units and direct experience with contract negotiations, working with an insurance committee and routine labor-management meetings; a person who is motivated to work with the Board and Community to take an already excellent public school district to even higher levels of performance.
