OSBA’s Division of Legal Services always is looking for ways to provide our members with new and useful resources. We’ve been hard at work during the first half of 2018 updating existing resources, creating new ones and planning workshops to provide members with the latest and greatest school law-related information.
On March 27, OSBA participated in the Ohio Attorney General’s meeting Ideas for Our Future: Addressing childhood trauma to create positive outcomes. This was the fifth Attorney General-led meeting addressing the opioid epidemic in Ohio, but the first directly focusing on the epidemic’s impact on children and families.
Does your board have new members? Have you been a board member for a while, but want to brush up on some of the basics? OSBA’s upcoming workshop — “Board member 101: Survival kit for your first 90 days in office” — may be just the ticket.
School Law Workshop
For over 55 years, OSBA’s annual Treasurers’ Clinics have kept treasurers, business managers, board members, administrators and treasurer’s office personnel updated on the most current information related to school district fiscal issues. We hope you’ll join us at one of this year’s clinics.
Professional development credit
At OSBA, we strive to provide school board members and district administrators with the most relevant and recent information to keep you informed and prepared to provide the best learning environment for Ohio’s public school students. We’ve got some upcoming workshops that can help you do just that.
Are you taking advantage of the seminars and workshops offered by OSBA? The legal division is planning several workshops and seminars this fall, and we’d love to see you in attendance. Here are the upcoming workshops:
