Student records are subject to state and federal law. Generally, the legislation is designed to provide access to records by a student or his/her parent(s), to ensure the accuracy of the information maintained and to provide reasonable notice of information disclosed to others. Further, Ohio law strictly limits the disclosure of personally identifiable information about students by districts.
