Administrative changes

Superintendents

  • Black River Local (Medina) hired Anthony Stretar as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Chris A. Clark who is retiring. Stretar is currently elementary principal at Revere Local (Summit). 
  • Fostoria City hired Jason Longbrake as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Andrew Sprang who took the superintendent position at Mohawk Local (Wyandot). Longbrake is currently a principal at Swanton Local (Fulton).
  • Olmsted Falls City hired Director of Student Services Shannon Goss as assistant superintendent effective Aug. 1. She will replace Kelli Cogan who has taken the superintendent position at Independence Local (Cuyahoga).
  • South-Western City hired Randy Banks as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Dr. Bill Wise who took the special assistant to the superintendent position with the district. Banks is currently assistant superintendent at Worthington City. 
  • Southern Ohio ESC hired Assistant Superintendent Curt Bradshaw as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Beth Justice who is retiring.
  • Wilmington City hired Tim Dettwiller as interim superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace James J. Brady who resigned. Dettwiller is currently a director at the Southern Ohio ESC.

  • Former Austintown Local (Mahoning) Board of Education member David G. Schnurrenberger died June 17. He was 75. 
  • Former Buckeye Career Center and Colonel Crawford Local (Crawford) Superintendent Dr. Paul Anthony Hickman died June 14. He was 66.
  • Patty “Pat” Johnson former member of the former Mendon Union and Mercer County School boards died June 14. She was 73.
  • Former St. Henry Consolidated Local (Mercer) Board of Education member John L. Gast died June 14. He was 98.
