The committee's mission
OSBA is committed to welcoming, valuing and supporting every individual and their unique contributions to the workplace. OSBA’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee promotes and advocates for an inclusive environment. Our differences are viewed as strengths. We value, promote and celebrate a work culture that is open-minded and inclusive of diverse perspectives, while striving to understand each other.
The committee's vision
We value the differences in people and explore these differences in an environment where individuals feel safe, supported and respected. We strive to create a sense of mutual trust and belonging for all. We encourage dialogue on diversity, promote personal and professional growth and value efforts that help staff better understand the diverse needs of our membership. We emphasize recruitment and retention of a talented and diverse workforce, where employees are recognized, rewarded and respected. We cultivate empathy, promote critical thinking skills and foster courage to stand up against discrimination.
