Welcome to the 2019 National Affiliation of Superintendent Searchers (NASS) Conference information page. On this page you will find information about registration for the conference, the agenda, links to presentation materials and conference hotel reservation information. The conference will begin on Wednesday, August Aug. 7 and conclude Friday, August 9, 2019. Our meeting and accommodation will be at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel, located in Westerville, just north of Columbus.
About registration
Registration for the NASS Conference is open to anyone from NSBA or any state school board association whose work revolves all or in part around providing superintendent search services. We look forward to hosting you! Registration is $260 per person and includes refreshment breaks on Wednesday and Thursday, breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday, and dinner with a social outing on Thursday. The deadline to register for the conference is Friday, July 26. Refunds for cancellations will not be available after that date. The discounted hotel price in the NASS room block is available until July 15. The hotel cannot guarantee accommodation at the Renaissance after that date.

Conference hotel
The conference hotel is the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel, located at 409 Altair Parkway, Westerville, Ohio, 43082. Parking is free. The hotel is approximately 14 miles from John Glenn Columbus International Airport and is ideally located in Westerville which offers a hometown feel, while still being just minutes from everything Columbus has to offer.
Call (833) 427-0292 for reservations or click this link to make your reservation online. Mention the OSBA NASS Conference to get a rate of $139 for a standard room. All reservations must be accompanied by a guarantee with a major credit card upon booking. Room reservations must be made by July 15 to receive the special rate.
Agenda
We plan to begin our agenda at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 7. We'll work until 5:00 and then break for our traditional "Dutch treat" dinner a short walk away. We will work all day Thursday and until lunchtime on Friday.

Special event
Plan for fun on Thursday evening at Star Lanes Polaris! We'll enjoy a private room and food, bowling, billiards, ping pong and other table games as well as great conversation! Our evening at Star Lanes is included in the registration. Adult guests are invited at the cost of $60.00.
Travel info
John Glenn International Airport (CMH) is a major international airport providing easy access to Columbus.
From John Glenn International Airport, several convenient options for hotel transport are available. Ride-share and taxis are readily available 24-hrs a day at the cab stand and ride-share signage areas located just outside baggage claim.
For those who choose to drive, the hotel offers free parking.
Dining and things to do
The conference hotel is conveniently located near the Polaris Fashion Center, one of Columbus' largest shopping, dining and entertainment areas. The hotel is located 15 to 20 minutes from Easton Town Center (another major dining and shopping venue). Downtown Columbus is home to the Short North gallery and restaurant area, the Brewery District and the Huntington Park baseball stadium, Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Convention Center. The main campus of The Ohio State University is in the middle of the city. The city of Westerville features shopping, parks and restaurants close to the hotel; visit www.visitwesterville.org to learn more.
