Governor activity
Gov. Mike DeWine signed into law House Bill (HB) 93. The bill revises the Address Confidentiality Program and makes changes to county recorder fees. The bill also moves the congressional candidate filing deadline to March 4, 2022; modifies petition requirements; makes changes to candidate filings due to residency and district numbers; and allows the secretary of state to modify administrative deadlines.
Additionally, DeWine designated new boundaries for the 11 elected State Board of Education seats. Ohio Revised Code requires each elected member to represent three adjacent state Senate districts.
- District 1: Diana Fessler represents Senate districts 1, 12 and 26.
- District 2: Kirsten Hill represents Senate districts 2, 11 and 13.
- District 3: Charlotte McGuire represents Senate districts 4, 5 and 6.
- District 4: Jenny Kilgore represents Senate districts 7, 8 and 9.
- District 5: Brendan Shea represents Senate districts 10, 14 and 17.
- District 6: Antoinette Miranda represents Senate districts 3, 15 and 20.
- District 7: Christina Collins represents Senate districts 16, 19 and 25.
- District 8: Michelle Newman represents Senate districts 30, 31 and 33.
- District 9: John Hagan represents Senate districts 18, 29 and 32.
