State Board of Education
The State Board of Education voted to advance the following candidates to a second-round interview:

  • Stephen Dackin, former state board vice president, by a 17-2 vote;
  • Larry Hook, superintendent, Springboro Community City, by a 14-5 vote;
  • Thomas L. Hosler II, superintendent, Perrysburg EV, by a 13-6 vote.

The second-round interviews will be held during the May 9-10 board meeting.

The State Board’s Teaching, Leading and Learning Committee approved the Dyslexia Guidebook by a 5-2 vote. The guidebook will now go before the State Board at its May meeting.
