Federal Legislative Advocacy Group (FLAG)
The Federal Legislative Advocacy Group (FLAG) involves local school board members, selected from congressional districts throughout the state, who are committed to grassroots advocacy for public education. The ultimate goal of the committee is to make public education a top priority of the federal government. The committee provides board members with an opportunity to make a difference in the education of the nation’s public schoolchildren. During the year, members receive vital information concerning federal education legislation and national issues: what is current, what is proposed, and how it helps or hinders public schools.
