Awards recognize your committment

OSBA's STAR Awards program highlights school board members' commitment and service to Ohio's students. Four awards comprise the program:

Service Award: Points accrue from local school board, district, region and state leadership, including service on OSBA committees and local board offices and committees.
Training Award: Earn points through professional development events and activities delivered by OSBA and other groups and associations
Aptitude Award: Board members must receive an 80% passing score on an online assessment to earn this award.
Recognition Award: A board member may be nominated for the Recognition Award by their own school board by a majority vote of the board.
